Re:              Preparation for Annual Faculty Professional Development Conferences

We will soon begin scheduling individual annual Faculty Professional Development Planning and Evaluation conferences. 

 

Individual faculty professional development conferences involve two steps: 

 

q      reviewing the most recent professional development plan for how each faculty member met his or her individual goals for 2006-07 and

q      compiling a new individual professional development plan for the next 12 months or so. 

 

Reviewing 2006-07 Professional Development Plans:  Please make sure that you provide Dr. Prager with documentation to support your previously agreed upon 2006-07 professional development goals.  Acceptable documentation includes:   

 

q      for courses, a transcript or certificate. 

q      for workshops attended elsewhere, an official agenda, a certificate of attendance, or a brief report with the dates and topics of the workshops.

q      for volunteer work, a letter from the volunteer agency describing your volunteer activities. 

q      for out-of-classroom activities with students, a brief written statement with dates and activities.

q      for a review of professional literature, a written log with dates and titles of readings.

q      for a review of teaching websites, a written log with dates, locations, and website topics..

q      for trying new classroom teaching strategies, a written log with implementation history and outcomes.  .

q      etc. 

 

Copies of 2006-07 Professional Development Plans:  Please ask Dr. Prager if  you need another copy of your 2006-07 Professional Development Plan.
