Overview of MyEnglishLab: Lynn Napolitano presented a PowerPoint presentation on the features of NorthStar’s MyEnglishLab online application.
MyEnglishLab supplements and strengthens the classroom curriculum structured around NorthStar’s Listening and Speaking series of textbooks.
Ms. Napolitano reviewed the features of the application as a group.
Features of MyEnglishLab: Using the application along with the textbook, teachers identified how they can
Enrich Learning: A range of interactive activities, tasks and tests are integrated with your course syllabus helping to motivate and engage learners. Students can access these activities when they are online at home, in the computer lab or even in an internet café.
Informed Teaching: The Common Error Report is an innovative tool which enables you to see which errors are the most common and which of your students are making these errors. With this information teachers can focus valuable class time on the areas that are needed the most.
Flexible Solutions: You can assign tasks to the whole class or assign specific activities to groups of students with different needs or individual students – helping them all to reach their goals more effectively.
Hands-on Practice: Lynn Napolitano and Regina Snyder assisted teachers in setting up their profiles and logging on to the application. They practiced basic navigation and partnered together to discuss the MyEnglishLab’s features and how they can be incorporated into their curriculum.
