Topic: “Test-in” Students at the start of an ESL level of study.

Meeting Date and Time:  April 30, 2013         8:30 am – 9:00 am

Tasks: 

  • Dean Schwenke will prepare lists of tested students from MyLab online data
  • Faculty listed will check attendance rosters against already-tested lists and refer untested students to testers listed above. 
  • Testers will administer the MyLab tests
  • Coordinator Ferraro will orient faculty and testers on new procedure
  • Dean Davis will receive test result data for analysis

Discussion Objective:

Assure  students  “Tested-in” using MyNorthStarLab. Begin with ESL6 classes.

Proposed Process:

  • Print MyNorthStarLab report of students who have taken the test.
  • Distribute to the Level 6 faculty.
  • Faculty will identify from their class roster who has not taken the test.
  • Those students will enroll in MyNorthStarLab and take the test.

Timeline Implementation

Distribute report to faculty beginning April 30th.

Follow-up is daily.

Reports from MyNorthStarLab on the other levels will be prepared and distributed.

·        MyLab Test Result Spreadsheets (sample follows below)

·        Student Achievement Measurements and Assessments will be accomplished at intervals as statistically significant data is amassed
