RE: Followup In-Service / Professional Growth Opportunity
Date: July 2014
Our experience together on Saturday, July 27 when we explored one concept of
X-Word Grammar (XWG,), the formation of questions, was inspiring. Your openness to a new methodology for teaching grammar made the workshop successful and joyful!
I know that many of you want to learn more, and I welcome you with open arms!
There is much more to learn and to use in the classroom.
XWG addresses the grammar/writing needs
from the beginner to the most advanced student.
There are four more essential concepts to learn! These include forming negatives, identifying subjects, making subject-verb agreement, and using modals. The relationship between X-Words and main verbs, addressing every verb tense from present to past perfect, is also included in the foundation course. The holistic approach of XWG focuses on teaching students grammar for the purpose of writing!
Please join me on at The New School on October 5 from 10:00AM - 4:45pm for the foundation course. We’ll have a day of continued exploration, interaction, and grammar fun!
Here are the details with the instructions for registering below this description. It’s wonderful that SAI will reimburse you for $100.00 of the total fee!
All good wishes for learning and teaching,
~Tamara
P.S. There’s a second workshop in the spring which focuses on sentence construction!
